NetColors Privacy Policy

Effective 6 October 2026

NetColors is made by Artem Losev, an individual developer. This policy explains what the app does with data.

In short: the developer collects nothing.

What the developer collects

Nothing. NetColors has no server, no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The only permission the app asks for is to send notifications; it never asks for your location or contacts.

Network checks

To show how much of the internet is reachable, the app sends ordinary HTTPS requests to a fixed list of 26 addresses — public sites and DNS servers. The list is in the app’s source code. Like any website you open, each of these sites sees a standard request from your connection, including your IP address. The developer does not receive these requests or their results.

Data stored on your iPhone

This data never leaves your iPhone unless you export it yourself (Settings → Export Data), and then it goes only where you choose to send it. To delete everything, use Settings → Erase All Data or delete the app.

Background checks and notifications

When iOS allows it, the app repeats the check in the background. Notifications are created on your iPhone; no notification server is involved.

If you write to the developer

If you use Write to the Developer or send an e-mail to netcolors@artemlosev.com, the developer receives your e-mail address, your message, and the app and iOS versions added to the message. They are used only to reply and are not shared. You can ask for your messages to be deleted at any time.

Children

The app collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

Any change to this policy will be published on this page with a new date.
